Three tyres. One patent-designed range.

Surau Motorsport is the subsidiary brand under which we design, certify and distribute our performance tyre range. Patent-designed tread patterns, performance-grade compounds, and manufacturing under IATF 16949 — the automotive-supply quality standard. Two of the three lines hold DOT approval under FMVSS 139, certified for road use in Australia (ADR 23/03) and New Zealand. The third is built for closed-circuit work where road compliance isn't the brief.

We sell through tyre wholesalers and industry partners across Australia and New Zealand.

Performance road tyre

The everyday performance tyre.

The everyday end of the Surau Motorsport range. Patent-designed asymmetric tread for predictable wet and dry handling, a high-silica compound balanced for tread life and grip, and full DOT compliance so it's legal on the road in both Australia and New Zealand. Built for enthusiasts who want a genuine performance tyre as their daily — not a compromise in either direction.

Use case — Daily driving, spirited road use, track days.

Semi-slick

Drift-ready. Road-legal.

A road-legal semi-slick designed for performance drifting and competition use without surrendering road compliance. Aggressive directional tread blocks for off-throttle bite, a reinforced shoulder for sustained lateral load, and a softer high-grip compound tuned for heat cycling. DOT-approved under FMVSS 139 — drivable to and from the event.

Use case — Performance drifting, time attack, track days with road transit.

Competition slick

Built for the circuit.

The competition end of the range. Full racing slick, optimised for thermal window, mechanical grip and consistent lap-over-lap behaviour. Not DOT approved — built for sanctioned circuit and drift competition where road compliance isn't required and the tyre can be specified purely for performance.

Use case — Sanctioned drift and circuit competition, closed-track testing.
Compliance — Manufactured to FIA / sanctioning-body construction specifications. Not for road use.
Quality — Manufactured under IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
Channel — Distributed via industry partners and competition retailers across AU & NZ.

Why we built our own range.

Most aftermarket performance tyres are re-badged from a small number of factories with no design control. We took the opposite approach: patent-designed tread patterns, in-house compound specification, and manufacturing partners audited to IATF 16949. The result is a range that's engineered as a system — daily, semi-slick, and full slick — sharing construction philosophy across all three.

Not off-the-shelf moulds. Each product line carries its own tread pattern, designed for its specific use case.

DOT-approved (DR-R and JTT-SS)

Road compliance certified under FMVSS 139, accepted under ADR 23/03 and as a permitted standard in New Zealand.

IATF 16949 manufacturing

The automotive-supply quality standard, on top of ISO 9001. The same regime OEMs require of their part suppliers.

AU & NZ distribution

Direct to tyre wholesalers and industry partners. Not a parallel-import play — a designed-and-supported range.
